Eye-catching methods for storing everyday objects.

1. Galvanized buckets are great for storing kitchen utensils or dinner napkins.
2. Flowerpots make perfect flatware and cutlery holders.

3. Antique lunchboxes are great for holding a camera and/or craft supplies, as well as for storing vitamin bottles and recipe cards. Choose any embellishments you like, then decoupage a design onto a plain lunchbox.

4. Use interesting old bottles for storing olive oil or dishwashing soap. Attach a liquor pour spout for easy access. Just make sure to clearly mark the contents of each bottle.

5. Mason jars are very inexpensive and make great containers for coffee, beans, sugar, tea or pasta. Just slip a lining of wrapping or wallpaper into the jar for instant color.

6. Search flea markets or craft stores for miniature benches and chairs that are typically used to seat small children or to display their dolls. Anchor them to a wall for an eclectic shelf for houseplants. Use simple screw hooks to attach chairs to walls.
